Boy oh boy isn’t life the most exciting thing, scary at times, fun at times and then sometimes also a little dark……. But then when that silver lining appears, your world just get rocked!!
So when I got asked, “how did you get where you are today”? All I can say is by the Grace of God and support of my family and friends I am the successful career woman today.
When I fell pregnant with our fist born, my husband kept on saying I should quit my stressful job as a HR Manager, take time off, help him out and go and decide what I REALLY want to do, so I had 9 months to ponder these thoughts, as a career woman, it was a very hard decision to make, just to leave my job and just being a mom, well I thought I was worth nothing, although our relationship was much better, I was less stressed I did not feel worthy.
So I made the decision and became a “stay at home” mom, when I look back now, I definitely would say I had a bit of PPD, I also think that this type of depression is over looked very very easily. As you are just seen as a mom who can’t cope. Depression is very real and should be treated that way!
I seeked some help and it did me wonders. Then I also decided I want to start living my passion: Working with people. So I searched and searched and came across The South African Image Company. I enrolled for the course and the rest is history!!!! I did and advance make up course in between as well. Then baby number two decided to show up, and there the whole card house fell down again. Luckily with all my resources I got back up again much easier than the first time!!
I firmly believe in this saying and truly stick with it everyday:
I got up, dressed up (tracksuits can look hot you know), showed up (work hard) and I will never ever give up on my dream to enhance others!!
Both little girls are in Nursery school now, so this MOM as a lot of time to make other mommies feel WOW, and just anyone who feels the need to be a better version of themselves, I would love to help you become that better version!!
Now I life by the saying: “ if you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life!”
